The blue is an icy aqua and it is all very elegant looking. I think this will hold up very well-- I've been searching for weeks for the perfect comforter set and this one is ideal. It is not thin but actually has some nice filling to it--- especially looks nice with my down comforter beneath it. HOWEVER, the description implies that the Euro shams are included. I would not have purchased this had I known this ahead of time as the other set I was looking at getting had them included.

The picture did no justice to it. The quality was nice, the colors bolder than appeared. I painted my room a BM color called Palladian Blue and it looks fantastic with this set. The matching sheet set that arrived seperately was so soft.
